STORY
Doxa originated with ten individuals in February 2013, following a series of Bible studies and prayer meetings led by Pastor Jean Marc Désiré in a home located in Plantation, Florida. Pastor Jean Marc Désiré, a missionary to Haiti with over 30 years of pastoral and church planting experience, felt a calling during evangelistic trips to South Florida. He noticed a significant number of Haitians in the community who were unsaved, unreached, or unchurched. Led by the Lord, he gathered leaders, trained individuals, and planted Doxa: A Ministry of Grace Church.
We are a spiritual community with a passion to know Christ, to grow in Christ, and to show the world who Jesus is. If you're seeking a church home, Doxa warmly welcomes you.

"Doxa" is the Greek word for glory as found in the New Testament. The church's mission is to lead souls to accept Jesus as their Savior, Lord, and life, enabling them to celebrate God's glory, reflect it, and be transformed by His perfect beauty.
OUTREACH
We will seek to cultivate Christ-like effectiveness in sharing the gospel cross culturally and making an impact on other people and cultures.
FAMILY
We will seek to affirm families and marriages, youth and children by emphasizing biblical counseling and creating the atmosphere of a loving community.
GENEROSITY
We will attempt to cultivate a generous environment where every need is met by one another with love in the footsteps of the early church (Acts 2: 45-46).
OUR VALUES
Doxa abides by the following core values as found in the first church in Acts chapter 2 and 3 and Ephesians chapter 4
Encountering Jesus Actes 1:6-8
The disciples had a three year personal encounter with Jesus; they knew Him personally. Therefore, walking in their footsteps; Doxa values encountering Jesus by making every effort to make people know him personally and intimately.
Embracing Prayer Actes 2:42
After Jesus had ascended, the disciples gathered in upper room for a ten-day prayer meeting that ushered the coming down of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church; and all through the book of acts we find them praying and teaching the believers to cultivate a lifestyle of prayer. Doxa intends to value and embrace prayer.
Experiencing the Holy Spirit
The New Testament Church started with the arrival of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. The disciples learned once for all that it is the Holy Spirit that introduces any one in the family of God and prepares God’s people for service. All that was exemplified in the choice of the first deacons in Acts chapter 7 who were filled of the Holy Spirit and of the first missionaries in Acts chapter 13 who were sent by the Holy Spirit. Doxa values experiencing the Holy Spirit for salvation and service.
Edifying the saints
The first Christians according to Acts 2:42 “were continually devoting themselves to the apostle’s teaching”. They all knew and memorized Scriptures as we read in Acts 4:24-26. Doxa values edifying the saints with the solid teaching of the Word of God, “until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God” (Ephesians 4:13).
Equipping the servants
God’s gifts to His church are not for performance but for training and equipping His obedient servants. In Ephesians 4:11-12, the apostle Paul emphasizes that “ God gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors ad teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ. Doxa values equipping the servants so as not to have any lack of ministers to do ministry.
Evangelizing the World Actes 2:47
In submission to the great commission in Acts 1:8 and Matthew 28:19-20, the disciples started evangelizing locally before going globally; they had a passion for souls and a compassion for people. Doxa values evangelism and missions as one the main purpose of the church and will make the country of Haiti a priority in its missions project.
Exalting the Lord Actes 2:47
In so far as worship is man’s response toward God’s greatness, the highest level of worship takes place after a soul has encountered the Lord, experienced the Holy Spirit, embraced prayer, and has been both edified and equipped to go and evangelize the sinners. The early church experienced that to the fullest when we read “They were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people” (Acts 3:46-47). Doxa values worship as a product of good discipleship and sincere fellowship.
